The project provided
• current state analysis in waste management
• documentation for tender preparation
• the conceptual and technical design of a Waste Treatment Center for Berane Region from Montenegro, cOf}1prising 120.000 inhabitants) to process 38.000 tly of municipal solid waste.
The design for the Waste Treatment Centre included the following elements:
• a landfill, with a capacity of 790.000 m3
• a MBT (mechanical biological treatment) facility on landfill site,
• a sorting plant (14.000 t/y)
• a composting plant (4.000 t/y).
